Closing in on famous prime number conjecture
Tue May 21, 2013
If you every studied Number Theory, you'd understand. But I am just guessing you never even took basic Calculus. Yes, ignorance is strength.
Expect millions of electric car charging stations by 2020
Fri May 17, 2013
In reply to: Jimmy-656853 #12 That might work, but batteries are not a fungible commodity. I might decide to "swap out" my 10-year-old battery that is barely holding a charge for a brand new one, which I then keep and charge at home. It is like these propane tank swap places - sometimes …
Ax hovers over food stamp program as costs grow
Sun May 19, 2013
I researched this program, as I was wondering if I would qualify. Although I have over $1M in assets, my "income" (taxable income) for 2012 was about $22,000. Turns out that IRA and 401(k) accounts are not looked at, when quantifying food stamp eligibility. Neither is your personal residence.
Chorus of critics greets new psychiatric manual release
Fri May 17, 2013
Ever met a sane psychiatrist or psychologist? No, really. These folks seem to be the last to get their shiite together. I dated a psychiatrist's daughter once. Whole family was messed up, including the Dad. Blind leading the blind...
5 money-saving trends we love (and want you to know about)
Tue May 14, 2013
Yes, actually we have been on a huge bull market since February 2009, nearly doubling in value. Yet people still complain. Good times or bad, they complain.
'Like a drug': Payday loan users hooked on quick-cash cycle
Sat May 11, 2013
Payday loans are dumb. Never go near such places. And think carefully of who you vote for. Many in the GOP take money from these places, and defend them (at least here in Georgia) as "legitimate businesses that don't need government regulation!" We used to have usury laws.
Limping Lincoln brand gets bump from sedan sales
Sun May 5, 2013
My ten-year-old BMW is nicer than your brand-new (fill-in-the-blank). Sorry, but I'm not coughing up 35 grand for a bland front-wheel-drive Ford Fusion with an ugly grill. And I had an SHO, and frankly, the electronics and leather in Ford products leaves a lot to be desired. An F-1 …
'Nazi Bride' case highlights rising influence of women in Germany's far-right movement
Sat May 4, 2013
Not one of them blonde, or very Aryan looking, though. But then again, neither was Hitler...... Funny how that works.
High school student convicted in sex-tape scandal
Fri Apr 19, 2013
"Sex Tape" - Tape? Who uses videotape anymore? I think in 2013, we can just say "video". This sort of thing is why I don't have a smart phone. These sort of toys cause more harm than good. The same kids no doubt text while they are driving.....
FBI releases new photos of suspects in Boston Marathon bombing
Tue Apr 16, 2013
"Authorities investigating the Boston Marathon bombing said Wednesday they have the face but not the name of someone seen on video leaving a black bag near the scene of the blasts." And NBC can't find the space on their web page to show this picture. Shameful. Shameful.

Grandparents pitch in with cash to help raise grandkids
They can give them good advice for the future
Kids don't learn to stand on their own, if they are given everything. I've seen some grandparents buy brand new cars for teens. Sick!
